7.39 Satellite Dishes
Satellite dishes (Earth Stations) that are less than one meter (39.37 inches) in diameter in residential districts and less than two meters in diameter in all other zoning districts shall be permitted. Satellite dishes exceeding these dimensions shall be subject to the Accessory Structures of Section 7 and the following additional requirements:
- Receipt of a Minor Special Use Permit.
- If attached to a roof or building, a letter certifying the roof’s and building’s structural stability shall be written and sealed by a licensed engineer, prior to any approval of a roof-mounted satellite earth station. Roof-mounted satellite earth stations that comply with the provisions of these regulations do not require additional yard setbacks or setbacks from residential areas or dwellings.
- No commercial messages shall be placed on the dish.
